Soldiers play the game as a FPS, with infantry and vehicular combat the order of the day. The game is a persistent, online-focused World War 2 first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a soldier or a strategic officer. In 2004, after Eidos bought IO, the founding members left and reformed their old company.
Reto-Moto was in fact the studio that transformed into IO Interactive. Heroes & Generals, a browser-based PC game, is the work of Reto-Moto. Former Hitman developers have started a new studio and announced their first game: Heroes & Generals.
